Bintangs - Travellin" In The U.S.A (second album)

The Bintangs are a Dutch rhythm and blues band. Founded in 1961 in Beverwijk (Holland) as an indorock band, they soon began playing a rougher, rhythm and blues-inflected style. The band had a four-year hiatus in the 1980s but reunited and are still active. The band has gone through many members (in 1985 they were in their 33rd lineup[2]), with Frank Kraaijeveld (bass and vocals) as a constant element. They scored one hit, in 1970, and though commercial success has eluded them nationally and internationally they remain a popular live act.

The performances were exciting and Bintangs became a kind of Dutch Rolling Stones - the Mick Jagger-esque voice of Gus Pleines certainly contributed to that.

. Bintangs had many line-ups, with Frank Kraaijeveld as (almost) constant factor. Frank was only missing in the period 1972-1974 when he founded the Kraaijeveld group (later Circus Kraaijeveld) with his brother Arti. Singer Gus Pleines and guitarists Jack van Schie and Jan Wijte, among others, have been part of the band for many years with interruptions.

Pleines left the band permanently in 2004 and passed away in 2007. Guitarist Arti Kraaijeveld passed away in May 2018 at the age of 71.

Q65 - I Got Nightmares

Q65 was a Dutch garage rock and psychedelic group formed in 1965, that is often considered one of the more prominent bands associated with the Nederbeat rock wave that took place in the Netherlands in the 1960s

                               I Got Nightmares

In early 1965, guitarists Joop Roelofs and Frank Nuyens joined with singer Willem Bieler to start the band. The line-up was completed with the addition of drummer Jay Baar, formerly of Leadbelly's Limited, and bass player Peter Vink.[2] The band was inspired by rhythm and blues traditionals and the songs of Robert Johnson and Willie Dixon, as well as new bands, such as The Kinks, The Animals and The Rolling Stones. They started performing publicly in the Spring of 1965, and later that year, would start using the name, Q65

A twenty-year friendship, born of a mutual love for blues music, brought these five multi award-winning musicians together. Ian Siegal, Big Pete (The Strikes, The Backbones, MOCT) Mischa den Haring (T-99) together with Dusty and Darryl Ciggaar (The Rhythm Chiefs, Dry Riverbed Trio) had a long-standing desire to start a blues band in which they could play the music that inspired them all these years. After years of dreaming, this wish finally came true and just before he says goodbye to touring, Ian Siegal presents the project B.L.U.E.S especially for Ramblin' Roots; a unique and exclusive one-off show of five blues heroes and a portion of outstanding blues classics.

Sierra Ferrell

Sierra Ferrell is a bluegrass artist from West Virginia whose music incorporates elements of country, gypsy jazz, folk, and Latin styles such as tango and calypso music. In 2021 she released her debut album "Long Time Coming" on Rounder Records to vast critical acclaim, and accompanying videos for singles "The Sea", "In Dreams", and "Bells of Every Chapel (feat. Billy Strings)" were uploaded to her YouTube channel in the weeks and months preceding the album's release

                             The Sea

With her spellbinding voice and time-bending sensibilities, Sierra Ferrell makes music that's as fantastically vagabond as the artist herself. Growing up in small-town West Virginia, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist left home in her early 20s to journey across the country with a troupe of nomadic musicians, playing everywhere from truck stops to alleyways to freight-train boxcars speeding down the railroad tracks.

                                "Bells of Every Chapel"

After years of living in her van and busking on the streets of New Orleans and Seattle, she moved to Nashville and soon landed a deal with Rounder Records on the strength of her magnetic live show. Now, on her highly anticipated label debut Long Time Coming, Ferrell shares a dozen songs beautifully unbound by genre or era, instantly transporting her audience to an infinitely more enchanted world.

Nice discovery of this special lady, we will hear a lot more about it....
