Johnny and his Blue Jeans (Middelburg)

     Op jonge leeftijd al geintresseerd in de muziek en wonend in het centrum van Middelburg was ik redelijk op  de hoogte van de toemalige muziekscene.Johnny and his Blue Jeans hadden al  redelijke bekendheid maar een TV optreden was toendertijd toch erg bijzonder..

Hoogtepunt van de band was het optreden voor het Belgische televisieprogramma Tienerklanken in november 1962 (uitgezonden op 17 januari 1963).Wij hadden toen nog geen TV, vriend Karel wel dus kon ik het daar toch zien,ik vond het prachtig en was trots op mijn stadgenoten.!

Door de opkomst van The Beatles raakt de Rock an Roll wat uit beeld en betekend het einde van de band.
