Moby Grape - Monterey(1967)Amsterdam(1969)

Moby Grape is an American rock band founded in 1966. Part of San Francisco's psychedelic music scene, the band merged elements of rock and roll, folk music, pop, blues, and country. They were one of the few groups of which all members were lead vocalists and songwriters. The group's first incarnation ended in 1969, in part due to members Bob Mosley and Skip Spence suffering from mental illness

In this film clip from 1967’s historic Monterey International Pop Festival, Moby Grape give a storming rendition of “Hey Grandma” – the opening track from their psychedelic masterpiece debut album.

In late 2007, Classic Rock sat down with Jerry Miller, Bob Mosley, Peter Lewis and Don Stevenson to talk about their life with one of the great American bands of the 1960s, Moby Grape. An influence on Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the Grape were set for success after releasing their classic debut album, but bad decisions, mishaps and chaos were to blight their career from that moment on.

Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers-The Floyd Country Store (July 6th, 2024)

James Russell Lauderdale (born April 11, 1957) is an American country, bluegrass, and Americana singer-songwriter.Since 1986, he has released 31 studio albums, including collaborations with artists such as Dr. Ralph Stanley, Buddy Miller, and Donna the Buffalo. A "songwriter's songwriter," his songs have been recorded by dozens of artists, notably George Strait, Gary Allan, Elvis Costello, Blake Shelton, the Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, and Patty Loveless.

'Don’t You Treat ‘Em That Way'

The Game Changers! Lillie Mae, Craig Smith, , Dave Racine, Jay Weaver and Frank Carter Rische.

                                                                       'Halfway Down'

For a man about to put out his 37th album, Jim Lauderdale still has the glimmer in his eye of the young man who first made his way to Nashville back in 1979.

Actively writing and recording music for the past four-plus decades, Mr. Americana—as Lauderdale has grown to be known around town—has fine-tuned his brand of country music, taking influences from his upbringing in the Carolinas, the bluegrass and string music of surrounding Appalachia, the folk and Grateful Dead catalog of the 60s and beyond, and the twanging, honky tonk of the town he’s long called home and distilling them into a sound distinctively his own.

"He's a man of great style, an exceptional songwriter and tremendous singer." Elvis Costello

"He's my favorite part of Americana music." Keith Secor, Old Crow Medicine Show

Young feat.Ben Keith & Frank Sampedro -Too Far Gone

The album "Freedom" is a nice comeback of my alltime favorite Neil Young The songs on Freedom were written over the span of more than a decade. "Too Far Gone" dates to the Zuma era, and would be performed regularly in concert in 1976

Freedom is the 19th studio album by Canadian-American musician Neil Young, released on October 2, 1989. Freedom relaunched Young's career after a largely unsuccessful decade. After many arguments and a lawsuit, Young left Geffen Records in 1988 and returned to his original label, Reprise, with This Note's for You. Freedom brought about a new, critical and commercially successful album
