The Paul Butterfield Bleus Band - Live at New Port 1965

 The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was a Chicago blues band founded by Paul Butterfield in 1963. The latter began performing in the Chicago area when he was a teenager. Soon he formed a band with Jerome Arnold and Sam Lay (both from Howlin' Wolf's band), and Elvin Bishop. The band signed to Elektra Records after signing Michael Bloomfield as solo guitarist.

 July 25th, 1965 - The Paul Butterfield Blues Band played an afternoon show at The Newport Folk Festival. In the band's introduction, the crowd were informed that "they will be seen later this evening accompanying Bob Dylan", who was headlining the festival.
