Funny Hoe Times Slips Away (Wilie Nelson)
Well, hello there,
My it's been a long, long time
How am I doin',
Well, I guess I'm doin' fine.
It's been so long now
That it seems like
It was only yesterday
Ain't it funny how time slips away.
How's your new love?
I hope he's doin' fine.
I heard you told him,
You were going to love him
Until the end of time.
Well, that's the same thing
That you told me
And it seems like it was just the other day
Ain't it funny how time slips away.
I gotta go now,
I guess I'll see you somewhere around
You never can tell
When I'll be right back in town.
But just remember what I told you
That some day, some day your gonna pay
Ain't it funny how time slips away.
Ain't it funny how time slips away...

Willie Nelson - Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain
"Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" is a song written by songwriter Fred Rose. Originally performed by Roy Acuff, the song has been covered by many artists; such as Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Russell, and Charley Pride. Also the song was later recorded by Willie Nelson as part of his 1975 album Red Headed Stranger.
Both the song and album would become iconic in country music history,
and jump start Nelson's success as a singer and recording artist.
"Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain"
The version by Willie Nelson, recorded for his 1975 concept album, Red Headed Stranger, which was about a fugitive preacher on the run from the law after killing his wife, was lauded by country music historian Bill Malone as "a fine example of clean, uncluttered country music, [with] a spare arrangement that could have come straight out of the 1940s." Rolling Stone noted the song was delivered with his "jazz-style phrasing" and was "the beating heart of Red Headed Stranger."

In the twilight glow I see her
Blue eyes crying in the rain
When we kissed goodbye and parted
I knew we'd never meet again
Love is like a dying ember
And only memories remain
And through the ages I'll remember
Blue eyes crying in the rain
Some day when we meet up yonder
We'll stroll hand in hand again
In a land that knows no parting
Blue eyes crying in the rain

Vlak voor het optreden werd bekend dat Ray Charles ongeneeslijk ziek was.Willie Nelson is zichtbaar geemotioneerd, mischien wel een van de meest indrukwekkende filmpjes uit mijn verzameling

Willie Nelson - Satan,You,re Kingdom Must Come Down
Willie Nelson, live at Soundstage Studios, in Chicago, IL, on September 28th, 2009
"Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down" is an old song from North Carolina has been done in many variations. . A very different variation of the song, called "Satan, We're Gonna Tear Your Kingdom Down" appears on a compilation of early songs from North Carolina's African-American music tradition called Eight Hand Sets and Holy Steps (you can buy it here). This version was by the Second St. Paul Junior Choir and recorded by University of North Carolina folklorist Glenn Hinson in the late 1970s. From the liner notes of that album: "Though it rarely appears in song collections, "Satan, We're Gonna Tear Your Kingdom Down" has apparently enjoyed wide currency across the Carolinas for many years. The song's earliest recording...was made by the black South Carolina evangelist Blind Joe Taggart in 1931. Since that time, this piece has been recorded by both African-American and Anglo-American singers, with renditions ranging from solo performances to spirited gospel versions."

Willie Nelson - 'A Horse Called Music'
Merle Haggard and son Lukas guest on the track
Master storyteller Willie Nelson revisits his past in the video for "A Horse Called Music," a hat tip to his 1989 album A Horse Called Music and a reimagining of its title track. In the clip, Nelson strides through the countryside, finds the chapel where he was married, rides through the small town center and watches an old film. This version of Wayne Carson's song is warmer than Nelson's original cover, meandering peacefully in place of the earlier version's emotional strain. Merle Haggard and Willie's son, Lukas, also join in on the track.
