"A Change Is Gonna Come" is a song by American recording artist Sam Cooke, released on December 22.
 The song concerns African-Americans and contains the refrain, "It's been a long time coming, but I know a change is gonna come." The song was inspired by various personal events in Cooke's life, most prominently an event in which he and his entourage were turned away from a whites only motel in Louisiana. Cooke felt compelled to write a song that spoke to his struggle and of those around him, and he recorded the song for its first release on his final album, Ain't That Good News.

Na mooie optredens van Ana Popovic en The Jools Holland Big Band was het tijd voor de hoofdact Beth Hart.Het laatste concert van haar zag ik op het Roots In The Park festival in Utrecht toen erg goed ,en ook deze keer  stelde ze niet teleur .Beth was voor vele bezoekers de reden om naar Grolloo af ter reizen,en opvallend veel vrouwen op de voorste rijen .

  Haar band bestond deze keer uit drie man,gitarist PJ Barth heeft tijdens deze tour zijn arm gebroken dus moest John Nichols al het gitaarwerk zelf opknappen.Het ging hem meer dan goed af.

  Bassist Bob Marinelli en drummer Bill Ransom zorgden voor de rest.

BETH HART

Ik denk dat ik Beth Hart voor het eerst bij Barend & van Dorp langs heb zien komen en was toen niet erg onder de indruk.Dat veranderde toen ik de live registratie van haar optreden op Pinkpop zag.Dat hakte er behoorlijk in,een op en top rock & roll lady met kei harde rock en prachtige ballads.

Beth Hart (24 januari 1972) is een Amerikaanse zangeres die in Nederland bekend werd door haar hit Leave the light on. Haar liedjes lijken een beetje op die van Janis Joplin en Joan Armatrading, maar haar stem is rauwer. In de vroege jaren negentig verscheen zij voor het eerst in de publiciteit door een talentenjacht waar ze $ 100.000 won.

Een tijdje later kreeg ik de DVD Beth Hart live in Paradiso in handen en mijn waardering voor deze dame werd steed groter ,wat een power en wat een passie!

Toen Beth op toernee in Nederland was was Arthur natuurlijk van de partij.
Het werd een geweldig optreden in De Boerderij in Zoetermeer.De foto,s zijn van dit concert.
