Weer een absolute topavond in fitnesscentrum Fit-Life in Heinkenszand.Een keer per jaar ,indien mogenlijk, stelt eigenaresse Yvonne(blueslady pursang) een van haar zalen ter beschikking voor een bluesevent.Twee jaar geleden stonden The Nimmo Brothers op het podium,deze avond mochten we het Stevie Nimmo Trio verwelkomen.

Het werd een geweldig optreden voor een dankbaar publiek.Een zeer goed ingespeeld trio met het superieure gitaarspel  en zang van Steve,de stuwende bass van Mat en het zeer strakke drumwerk van Graig.Veel werk van Steve Nimmo,s laatste album Sky Won,t Fall ,maar ook een geweldige uitvoering van The Storm,Gamblers Roll(Warren Haynes/Allman Brothers)en het concert werd afgeslotem met een eerbetoon aan Walter Trout ,Going Down.

Michael Joseph "Micky" Moody (born 30 August 1950) is an English guitarist, and a former member of the rock bands Juicy Lucy and Whitesnake.


"Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" is a 1974 R&B song, written by Michael Price and Dan Walsh, and first recorded by Bobby "Blue" Bland for the ABC Dunhill album Dreamer. While Bland scored a minor hit with the song, landing in the top ten of the R&B charts, it is perhaps best known through cover versions and samples.

 A well-known cover of the song is by the hard rock band Whitesnake, who included it on their 1978 debut EP, Snakebite, and again as a live recording on Live...in the Heart of the City. The cover was the new band's first hit, and it became a staple of their live set.

Ben al een aantal jaren fan ven de band van Alan en Steve Nimmo ,The Nimmo Brothers. Zag ze al in grote zalen,festivals,cafe,s e.a maar deze keer was wel voor een bijzondere lokatie gekozen,het dak van een parkeergarage.Plaats van handeling Mortsel,een buurgemeente van Antwerpen Het optreden was er niet minder door,hardblues,ballads,natuurlijk ondersteund door geweldige gitaarpartijen.Veel werk van het nieuwe album "Brother To Brother"maar natuurlijk mocht mijn echte Nimmo klassieker"Long Way From Everything" niet ontbreken.Dat de band in Belgie ook een grote schare fans heeft bleek ook weer deze avond uit de enthousiaste reactie,s van het talrijke publiek.
