Hal Blaine - (Drums)

Hal Blaine was a living legend. He played as a studio drummer in the 1960s/1970s, on over 8000 tracks for over hundreds of different artists. His list of hits on which he has played is so extensive that it is almost impossible to listen to a radio station that,, Golden Oldies,, plays without a Hal Blaine song passing by within 10 minutes. Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson usually had Hal Blaine play drums on the Beach Boys albums. Wilson also hired Blaine to play drums on a few tracks on his solo album, while he mainly played the piano himself. I made $50 for playing Beach Boys songs in the studio - Dennis made $50,000 in a week playing them during the concerts, Blaine said.
