Songs From The Heart presenteert: Bob Till You Drop Volume 3.

Levon Helm (May 26, 1940 – April 19, 2012) R.I.P.

Zijn muziek leeft voort Levon R.I.P.

Statement Bill Clinton
“I was saddened to learn of the death of my fellow Arkansan Levon Helm. Levon was one of America’s great musicians. His music, with the Hawks, the Band, and throughout his career, and his standout performance in Coal Miner’s Daughter, touched a cord with me and with many Americans. He never forgot his roots. I was always grateful that he helped the annual Delta Blues Festival get off the ground. He will be deeply missed.”

Graham Parker & The Rumour

Graham Parker (born 18 November 1950) is an English singer-songwriter, who is best known as the lead singer of the popular British band Graham Parker & the Rumour.

                 Don't Ask Me Questions

The Rumour were a British rock band in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They are best known as the backup band for Graham Parker, whose early records (from 1976 to 1980) were credited to Graham Parker & The Rumour

                                          Pourin' It All Out

Members of The Rumour came from the veteran UK pub rock bands Brinsley Schwarz and Bontemps Roulez. Throughout most of their existence (1975–1980), The Rumour consisted of founding members Bob Andrews (keyboards), Brinsley Schwarz (guitar), Martin Belmont (guitar), Andrew Bodnar (bass), and Stephen Goulding (drums).[1] Lead vocals were shared amongst all group members.

                                           Gypsy Blood

The Rumour debuted on disc as Graham Parker's backing band on his 1976 album Howlin' Wind.[1] While continuing to work with Parker (and to receive billing on his albums), the following year The Rumour began to issue their own recordings, starting with the 1977 album Max (a reply to Fleetwood Mac for calling their latest album Rumours). 1978 saw the band showcase their mastery of the new wave sound with Frogs, Sprouts, Clogs and Krauts, a commentary on European Society.

                                          Hold Back The Night

In early 2011, Parker reunited with all five original members of The Rumour to record a new album. The record, titled Three Chords Good, was released in November 2012

BB KING - The Thrill is Gone (BB King R.I.P.)

                                          BB King  16 september 1925  - 14 Mei 2015) R.I.P

"The Thrill is Gone" is a blues song written by Rick Darnell and Roy Hawkins in 1951 and popularized by B. B. King in 1970. The song was first recorded by Hawkins and became a minor hit for the musician. King recorded his version of the song in June 1969 for his album Completely Well, released the same year. The song's polished production and use of strings marked a departure from both the original song and King's previous material. When released as a single in December of 1969, the song became the biggest hit of King's career (#3 R&B / #15 Pop) and his signature song. B. B. King's recording earned him a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and a Grammy Hall of Fame award in 1998. King's version of the song was also placed at number 183 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest songs ever. Memorable live versions of the song were included on King's albums Live in Cook County Jail (1971), Bobby Bland and B.B. King Together Again...Live (1976), and Live at San Quentin (1991).

Fleetwood Mac- Green Manalishi (1970)

"The Green Manalishi " is a song written by Peter Green and recorded by Fleetwood Mac. It was released as a single in the UK in May 1970 and reached No. 10 on the British charts.

                Danny Kirwan-Peter Green-Mick Fleetwood-Jeremy Spencer-John McVie

The song was written during Green's final months with the band, at a time when he was struggling with LSD and had withdrawn from other members of the band. "Faced with the band's refusal to give away all monetary gains, Peter Green decided to leave Fleetwood Mac, but not before writing the haunting 'Green Manalishi,' which seems to document his struggle to stop his descent into madness."While there are several rumours about the meaning of the title "Green Manalishi", one referencing a mysterious LSD drug called "Green Manalishi" associated with the drug scene of the 1960s and 1970s, Green has always maintained that the song is about money, as represented by the devil.

A 13-minute live version of "The Green Manalishi" was recorded in February 1970, prior to the single's release in May, but it remained unreleased until 1998 when it was issued on the Live in Boston: Remastered three-CD boxed set.

HERMAN BROCK JR. & THE REVENUERS - Kwadendamme (Juke Joint Stage) 9 mei 2015

Zeer aanbevolen!!!

Tito & Tarantula - t,Beest, Goes (Holland) 8 Mei 2015

                    Strange Face                           Filmpje Arthur

                                           Peter Atanoff  & Tito Larriva

                 After Dark (filmje Arthur)

                  (After Dark)
