"Mary Anne with the Shaky Hand" is a song written by Pete Townshend and first released on The Who's 1967 album The Who Sell Out. The best known version of the song has acoustic guitar and an arrangement using Latin percussion instruments. The song has ambiguous lyrics that have been subject to a variety of interpretations. Four different recordings of the song have been released by The Who. It was later performed by a number of other artists.
"Boris the Spider" is a song written by The Who's bass guitarist, John Entwistle. It appears as the second track of their 1966 album A Quick One. This song is claimed to be Entwistle's first composition, and became a staple of live shows.[1] This song, along with "My Wife", "Heaven and Hell" and "The Quiet One",
were Entwistle's biggest songs to perform live. "The Quiet One" was
written to replace this song and "My Wife", which Entwistle had become
quite tired of singing.[2] Though this song was popular, it was not released as a single in the US and the UK. In Japan, "Boris the Spider" was released as the B-side to "Whiskey Man" in 1967.
"Won't Get Fooled Again" is a song, written by Pete Townshend.
It was released as a single in June 1971, reaching the top 10 in the
UK, while the full eight-and-a-half-minute version appears as the final
track on the band's 1971 album Who's Next, released that August
The Bridge School Benefit is an annual charity concert held in Mountain View, California, every October at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. The concert lasts the entire weekend and is organized by musicians Neil Young and Pegi Young.
"Need Your Love So Bad" sometimes known as "I Need Your Love So Bad", is a blues song first published in 1955 and written by Mertis John Jr.
The first recording of the song was by Mertis John's younger brother Little Willie John and was released by King Records.Willie John's single achieved No. 5 on the BillboardR&Bchart in 1956and the B-side "Home at Last" reached No. 6 in the same chart.[4] While using the AABA form and a harmonic layout typical for the R&B ballad,"Need Your Love So Bad" has been described as "A tightly wound and
intense plea for love, [...] quite different from the usual R&B
ballad fare".The songwriting credit has often been incorrectly attributed to Little Willie John.An example of this is the 1969 Fleetwood Mac album The Pious Bird of Good Omen, on which the original label gave the credit to Little Willie John.The performing rights organisation BMI credits the song to both John brothers.
Little Willie John's version of the song was used in the soundtrack to the film Wonder Boys in 2000. The song has also appeared on various compilation albums, such as The Very Best of Little Willie John, released in 2001 by Collectables Records as a CD.

Nog maar eens een terugblik op het North Sea Jazz festival.Ook het optreden van Spectrum Road was voor mij een van de hoogtepunten.Veel "Jazz"mensen waren het niet met mij eens ,de tent liep behoorlijk leeg waarschijnlijk iets te hard? De band speelt voornamelijk muziek van jazz/fuzion drummer Tony Williams .
De toegift voor de overgebleven toehoorders was onderstaande Cream klassieker.

Het was de derde keer dat ik deze gigant in aktie zag,waarvan twee keer in De Wegwijzer.
Behalve een geweldige gitarist is Chris ook een begenadigd singer/songwriter waar hij deze middag weer prachtige staaltjes van liet horen.Dit theater dan ook uitstekend geschikt voor dit soort artiesten,prachtig geluid en altijd een aandachtig luisterend publiek.Hier een paar songs ,die ook deze middag op het programma stonden.

After leaving the Yardbirds in late 1966, Jeff Beck had released three commercial singles, two in 1967 featuring himself on lead vocals, and one without vocals in 1968. All had been hits on the British singles chart,[2] and all were characterized by songs aimed at the pop chart on the A-side at the behest of producer Mickie Most.[3] Harder rock and blues-based numbers were featured on the B-sides, and for music on the album, Beck opted to pursue the latter course.
Reviewing for Rolling Stone in 1968, Al Kooper called Truth a "classic" and a contemporary version of the 1966 Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton LP, saying the Beck group "swing like mad on this record."[9] Truth has since been regarded as a seminal work of heavy metal because of its use of blues toward a hard rock approach.[10] According to Pete Prown and HP Newquist,
"although some have claimed that this disc was the first metal album,
the sound actually leaned more towards a heavy brand of blues rock."[11]Classic Rock magazine ranked Truth
eighth on its list of the 30 greatest British blues rock albums; an
accompanying blurb read, "it was an album that not only helped establish
the British blues rock sound, but featured many of its best exponents."[12]Tom Scholz of Boston has listed it as his favorite album on Gibson's online magazine, stating, "I knew Jeff Beck's Truth album inside out..."[13] The album's title inspired the name of Iowa band Truth and Janey.
Blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa recorded a studio version of "Blues Deluxe" on his 2003 album Blues Deluxe and recorded live versions on Live at Rockpalast (2005), and Live from the Royal Albert Hall
(2009). Bonamassa also played "Beck's Bolero", "Let Me Love You Baby"
(and "Spanish Boots" and "Plynth (Water Down the Drain)" from the Beck-Ola album) in his Salute to the British Blues Explosion tour featuring the music of Beck, Clapton and Page in July 2016.
On 10 October 2006, Legacy Recordings remastered and reissued the album for compact disc with eight bonus tracks. Included were two earlier takes of "You Shook Me" and "Blues Deluxe", the latter without the overdubbed applause, and the six tracks making up the three singles by Beck. The B-side to the 1968 single "Love Is Blue", "I've Been Drinking", was another "Jeffrey Rod" special, this time reconfiguring the Johnny Mercer song "Drinking Again".
