Sierra Ferrell

Sierra Ferrell is a bluegrass artist from West Virginia whose music incorporates elements of country, gypsy jazz, folk, and Latin styles such as tango and calypso music. In 2021 she released her debut album "Long Time Coming" on Rounder Records to vast critical acclaim, and accompanying videos for singles "The Sea", "In Dreams", and "Bells of Every Chapel (feat. Billy Strings)" were uploaded to her YouTube channel in the weeks and months preceding the album's release

                             The Sea

With her spellbinding voice and time-bending sensibilities, Sierra Ferrell makes music that's as fantastically vagabond as the artist herself. Growing up in small-town West Virginia, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist left home in her early 20s to journey across the country with a troupe of nomadic musicians, playing everywhere from truck stops to alleyways to freight-train boxcars speeding down the railroad tracks.

                                "Bells of Every Chapel"

After years of living in her van and busking on the streets of New Orleans and Seattle, she moved to Nashville and soon landed a deal with Rounder Records on the strength of her magnetic live show. Now, on her highly anticipated label debut Long Time Coming, Ferrell shares a dozen songs beautifully unbound by genre or era, instantly transporting her audience to an infinitely more enchanted world.

Nice discovery of this special lady, we will hear a lot more about it....

Golden Earring -Live at Winterland San Fransisco (25 April 1975)

1962-2021

Mooi optreden!

Leon Redbone - Leon Redbone (born Dickran Gobalian, August 26, 1949 – May 30, 2019)

Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone is a documentary short that explores the life and music of the enigmatic musician Leon Redbone. Beginning with his “discovery” by Bob Dylan at the Mariposa Folk Festival in 1972, the film hears from his longtime friends and associates about the mystery surrounding this musical cult figure. Set against Leon’s last filmed performances, it features interviews with John Prine, John Hammond, David Wilcox, Owen McBride and more.

Leon Redbone (born Dickran Gobalian,[2][3] August 26, 1949 – May 30, 2019) was a Cyprus-born (of Armenian ancestry) Canadian-American singer-songwriter, guitarist, actor, and voice actor specializing in jazz, blues, and Tin Pan Alley classics. Recognized by his Panama hat, dark sunglasses, and black tie, Redbone was born in Cyprus of Armenian ancestry and first appeared on stage in Toronto, Canada, in the early 1970s. He also appeared on film and television in acting and voice-over roles.

Redbone's concerts made use of performance, comedy, and skilled instrumentals. Recurrent gags involved the influence of alcohol and claiming to have written works originating well before he was born – Redbone favored material from the Tin Pan Alley era, circa 1890s to 1910. He sang the theme to the 1980s television series Mr. Belvedere and released eighteen albums.

                                                          Shine On Harvesr Moon

Filmed in Nashville, TN. Leon Redbone and Scott Black on cornet perform with a studio orchestra

On May 19, 2015, Redbone's website announced that he would no longer be performing or recording, as his health had been "a cause for concern" for some time. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 69, but according to the official obituary, he was 127 years old

Yes - Yours Is No Disgrace

Stephen James Howe (born 8 April 1947)

"Yours Is No Disgrace" is a song by English progressive rock band Yes, which first appeared as the opening song of their 1971 album The Yes Album. It was written by all five members of the band: Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Tony Kaye and Bill Bruford. The song was also released as a single in some continental European countries such as Italy and the Netherlands.

John Roy Anderson (born 25 October 1944)

Christopher Russell Edward (Chris) Squire (Kingsbury, 4 maart 1948- –                                          Phoenix (Arizona), 27 juni 2015)

William Scott (Bill) Bruford (Sevenoaks, 17 mei 1949)

Tony Kay (Anthony John Selvidge -born 11 January 1945)

The Yes Album is the third studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released on 19 February 1971 by Atlantic Records.[3] It was the band's first album to feature guitarist Steve Howe, who replaced Peter Banks in 1970, as well as their last to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye until 1983's 90125.

The album was the first by the band not to feature any cover versions of songs. The band spent mid-1970 writing and rehearsing new material at a farmhouse at Romansleigh, Devon, and the new songs were recorded at Advision Studios in London in the autumn. While the album retained close harmony singing, Kaye's Hammond organ, and Chris Squire's melodic bass, as heard on earlier releases, the new material also covered further styles including jazz piano, funk, and acoustic music. All of the band members contributed ideas, and tracks were extended in length to allow music to develop. Howe contributed a variety of guitar styles, including a Portuguese guitar, and recorded the solo acoustic guitar piece "Clap", live at the Lyceum Theatre, London.(Wikipedia)
