Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson usually had Hal Blaine play drums on the Beach Boys albums. Wilson also hired Blaine to play drums on a few tracks on his solo album, while he mainly played the piano himself. I made $50 for playing Beach Boys songs in the studio - Dennis made $50,000 in a week playing them during the concerts, Blaine said.
