Bonnie Raitt (Burbank (Californië), 8 november 1949) is een Amerikaanse zangeres, liedjesschrijfster en gitaarspeelster.

Ze is de dochter van Broadway musicalster John Raitt. Ze begon gitaar te spelen toen ze twaalf jaar oud was. Na de middelbare school begon ze in Rhythm and Bluesclubs te spelen. In 1983 werd ze geloosd door haar platenlabel, Warner Bros. Records, onder andere vanwege alcohol- en drugsgebruik, maar verdween allerminst uit de muziekscene.

Na meer dan 20 jaar opnames en optredens, bereikte Bonnie Raitt succes met haar tiende album. "Nick of Time" kwam in de top te staan in de Verenigde Staten en won drie Grammy Awards. Tegelijk kreeg ze een vierde Grammy voor haar duet "In the Mood" met John Lee
Hooker op zijn album "The Healer".

Van Links naar Rechts John-Willie-Dave -Neil Farm Aid begon als een benefit concert op 22 September, 1985 in Champaign, Illinois om geld in te zamelen voor de family farmers in de United States. Het concert was georganiseerd door Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp en Neil Young.Het idee was eigenlijk ontstaan door Bob Dylan's commentaar op Live Aid eerder dat jaar . (Dylan zei "I hope that some of the money...maybe they can just take a little bit of it, maybe...one or two million, maybe...and use it, say, to pay the mortgages on some of the farms and, the farmers here, owe to the banks....") Bob Geldof was niet zo blij met dit statement..

The Unforgiven Als een punk/rock groep Amazing Grace gaat spelen krijg ik toch wel een beetje weeeig gevoel in mijn maag.Het intro is wel aardig maar ik moet toch steeds aan Mieke Telkamp denken,alhoewel ik denk dat deze jongens Mieke,s versie(waarheen,waarvoor)niet kennen.Als dan ook Willie Nelson in zijn korte broek nog mee komt doen is de maat vol.
