"Almost Cut My Hair" is a song by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, originally released on the band's 1970 album Déjà Vu.^[1] It was recorded at Wally Heider Studios on January 9, 1970
 

The song describes a real-life dilemma faced by many hippies: whether to cut one's hair to a more practical length, or leave it long as a symbol of rebellion. It was written by David Crosby, and features solo vocals by Crosby, with the rest of the band joining in on instruments rather than on vocal harmony, as in many of their other songs. Unlike most of the tracks on Déja Vu, the quartet and their studio musicians, Dallas Taylor (drums) and Greg Reeves (bass), all recorded it at the same place and time.^] It was one of only two songs from the album that Neil Young joined in on, despite not writing

It became one of Crosby's signature songs, and "probably his most important political song". Crosby himself stated "It was the most juvenile set of lyrics I've ever written ... but it has a certain emotional impact, there's no question about that."
 

Jimi Hendrix - Valleys Of Neptune

Valleys of Neptune is a posthumous compilation albumby the American rock musician Jimi Hendrix. Released in the United States on March 9, 2010, the album was promoted as having "12 previously unreleased studio recordings", including the title track, "one of the most sought after of all of Hendrix's commercially unavailable recordings

Hendrix began work on the musical composition for "Valleys of Neptune", under the title of "Gypsy Blood", in February 1969, with the first recordings taking place at Olympic Sound Studios in London on February 22 & 26, 1969 – three takes on guitar and piano and one take on guitar, respectively.^[1] Hendrix wrote the lyrics for the song under the title of "Valleys of Neptune... Arising" on June 7, 1969, inspired by the writings of 'the sleeping prophet' Edgar Cayce regarding the rediscovery of mythical Isle of Atlantis, while staying at the Beverly Rodeo Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.^[2] Bassist Noel Redding left the Jimi Hendrix Experience following a show on June 29, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, and afterwards "Valleys of Neptune" began to take more shape

 "Get Rhythm" is a song written and recorded by American singer-songwriter and musician Johnny Cash. It was originally released as the B-side to the single release "I Walk the Line" in 1956 on Sun 241. It was re-released with overdubbed "live" effects in September 1969 as an A-side single and reached number 60 on the Billboard Pop chart.

I had Bonny Light Horseman on my radar for a while, partly due to the many films on YouTube. When I heard about their one-off performance in the Netherlands, I seized the opportunity to really admire the band "live". It was a wonderful evening, and the concert exceeded all expectations.

 Bonny Light Horseman consists of Anaïs Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson and Josh Kaufman,completed this evening with a wonderfully relaxed drummer and bassist.Great rhythm section!

          They call it American Folk, but have a sound all their own. Guitarist Josh Kaufman, is a special sometimes pretty freaking guitarist. Eric. D. Johnson, high voice, personality, and then of course Anais Mitchell , very intense singer / guitarist. And then the three voices that match beautifully with each other.

The audience is crazy, the band seems surprised about so much enthusiasm, two more encores and it's over, what an evening!! Will score high on the list of concerts 2023. The walk through the nice city Utrecht was a nice bonus.

Bob Dylan -De Kuip (Rotterdam)June 23, 1978

 

My first Bob Dylan concert, with a little story. Two days before the concert I broke my ankle, so I had a problem.. Luckily my friend Eugene was there to drive, foot in a cast, two crutches and go!!Second problem rain, not so good for the cast. The next day the doctor was not so happy with me. Nevertheless, a wonderful and unforgettable evening. Many more BD concerts would follow....

 Bob Dylan's performance on June 23, 1978 in De Kuip was part of a world tour that started on February 20 with a number of concerts in Tokyo. Everything was grand about his shows. The singer was accompanied by an eight-piece band, supplemented by three background singers. The concert series that was continued in New Zealand, Australia, America and eventually also visited Europe, mainly passed immense sports halls and stadiums. The choice to do so had largely a financial background.  

 The singer had lost a lot of money in previous years to the film adventure Renaldo and Clara. His divorce from his wife Sara also came over that. As Bob Dylan sighed in an interview at the time, “California divorces are expensive.” In the Netherlands, the choice fell on the Kuip. This was a first. The stadium, which opened in 1937, had grown into an iconic football temple, but no one had ever thought of holding a pop concert there.

Until concert organizer Mojo noticed it. It took booker and director Léon Ramakers some effort to convince the owners of De Kuip of the feasibility. Eventually the light turned green and the presale could start on May 6, 1978. The price was high for that time: 25 guilders for a grandstand ticket, 35 guilders for a spot on the field. However, there was a considerable bonus: guitar god Eric Clapton provided the support act as a 'special guest'.

This is the song Jeff Beck recorded as recompense for playing on Stevie Wonder's 1972 Talking Book  track "Lookin' for Another Pure Love." Beck was supposed to get "Superstition," but Motown Records knew it was a hit and wouldn't let Stevie part with it. There was some friction between the two, but they came to an understanding, with Beck recording a different Stevie Wonder song, "Cause We've Ended As Lovers," for his 1975 album Blow By Blow
