Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze

"Purple Haze" is a song written by Jimi Hendrix and released as the second single by the Jimi Hendrix Experience on March 17, 1967. The song features his inventive guitar playing, which uses the signature Hendrix chord and a mix of blues and Eastern modalities, shaped by novel sound processing techniques. Because of ambiguities in the lyrics, listeners often interpret the song as referring to a psychedelic experience, although Hendrix described it as a love song.

 "Purple Haze" is one of Hendrix's best-known songs and appears on many Hendrix compilation albums. The song featured regularly in concerts and each of Hendrix's group configurations issued live recordings. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and is included on lists of the greatest guitar songs, including at number two by Rolling Stone and number one by Q magazine.

Na de oprichting in 2012 werd het stempel ’supergroep’ als snel aan de band toegekend vanwege de rijke muzikale historie van de bandleden (Snowy White, Matt Schofield, Cuby & the Blizzards e.v.a.). Nu, tien jaar later, is King of the World een band die dit stempel nog steeds waar maakt en niets heeft ingeboet aan energie, drive en creativiteit. Vanaf het begin met Erwin Java en Fokke de Jong tot aan de huidige bezetting met de Belgische gitaarvirtuoos Stef Delbaere en drummer/zanger Marlon Pichel staat King of the World voor kwalitatieve roots, rhythm & blues van de bovenste plank.

AS Zondag het afscheidsconcert van Campagne Charlie in De Spot in Middelburg.35 jaar Roots,Americana en Blues muziek waarvan ik vele optredens mee heb mogen maken.Opgenomen in de Hall of Fame van de Dutch Blues Foundation,bijzonder voor een toch niet echt typische "Blues"band.Maar toch volkomen terecht natuurlijk In tegenstelling tot de meeste bleusbands verstaan de boys de kunst om zacht te spelen ,en heeft Sjef Hermans bij de nummers die voorbij komen meestal een goed verhaal.Ook nog leerzaam dus.Filmer Jaap van Visvliet maakte deze compilatie van een optreden in Domburg Een mooie doorsnede van hun repertoire .Altijd genoten van jullie optreden,mannen bedankt en Tot Zondag!!!

This is the opening track of American singer-songwriter and Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan's second solo album, Women + Country. For the record, Dylan reunited up with producer T-Bone Burnett, who produced the Wallflowers' 1996 breakthrough Bringing Down the Horse and its hit single "One Headlight."

Born in New York City to musician Bob Dylan and model Sara Lownds, Dylan began his music career in various indie bands before creating the Wallflowers in 1989. As part of that group, he has written hit songs such as "6th Avenue Heartache" and "One Headlight", which is listed at number 58 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs", and for which he won two Grammy Awards. More recently, Dylan has released two solo albums: Seeing Things (2008) and Women + Country (2010). The latter became Dylan's highest-charting album since the Wallflowers' 1996 breakthrough Bringing Down the Horse, peaking at number 12 on the Billboard 200.
