                                                                      Tell Me Something

Tell Me Something: The Songs of Mose Allison is a collaboration by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Mose Allison and Ben Sidran, released in 1996. It is Van Morrison's 25th album. It charted at No. 1 on the Top Jazz Albums chart

You Can Count On Me( To Do My Part)

The entire recording for this album was done in a day and all of the performances were live first or second takes. Morrison said he had wanted to make the record for a long tim

                                                                        Benediction

Mos Allison is described as having been "one of the finest songwriters in 20th-century blues."His songs were strongly dependent on evoking moods, with his individualistic, "quirky", and subtle ironic humor. His writing influence on R&B had well-known fans recording his songs, among them Pete Townshend, who recorded his "Young Man Blues" for the Who's Live at Leeds album in 1970. John Mayall was one of dozens who recorded his classic, "Parchman Farm", and Georgie Fame used many of Allison's songs. Others who recorded his songs included Leon Russell ("I'm Smashed") and Bonnie Raitt ("Everybody's Cryin' Mercy").

Bob Dylan - Forgetful Heart

                                                                         Manchester 2011

"Forgetful Heart" is a minor-key blues song written by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan (with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter) that appears as the fifth track on Dylan's 2009 studio album Together Through Life. Like much of Dylan's 21st century output, he produced the song himself using the pseudonym Jack Frost

 Forgetful heart
Lost your power of recall
Every little detail
You don't remember at all
The times we knew
Who would remember better than you

Forgetful heart
We laughed and had a good time you and I
It's been so long
Now you're content to let the days go by
When you were there
You were the answer to my prayer

 Forgetful heart
We loved with all the love that life can give
What can I say
Without you it's so hard to live
Can't take much more
Why can't we love like we did before

Forgetful heart
Like a walking shadow in my brain
All night long
I lay awake and listen to the sound of pain
The door has closed forevermore
If indeed there ever was a door

Nathan Bell - Crossroad Sessions /Bergen op Zoom (t,Zwijnshoofd) 28-9-2022

Nathan Bell, an artist in all his simplicity, with a good voice, beautiful songs and also a gifted guitarist. In the 90s of the last century he gave up his music career, but in 2007 he picked up the thread again with his acoustic guitar. The songs are about the rough side of life and often the loneliness in existence is central. Nathan Bell is not a man of finery; a simple guitar and harmonica do the job. A great opening to the new Crosroad Sessions season.

                                             I Dont,do this for Love.............
