For a career that was cut short by illness and a premature death, guitarist, singer, and songwriter Rory Gallagher sure accomplished a lot in the blues music world. Although Gallagher didn't tour the U.S. nearly enough, spending most of his time in Europe, he was known for his no-holds-barred, marathon live shows at clubs and theaters around the United State

Interview with rory, one of the nicest and most humble musician in music history.
He died too early, but his music lives on.

Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal,[3] and brought up in Cork, Gallagher recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s. He was a talented guitarist known for his charismatic performances and dedication to his craft. Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.[4][5] Gallagher received a liver transplant in 1995, but died of complications later that year in London, UK at the age of 47.

      Moondance
"Moondance" all time VM classic , and is the title song on his 1970 album Moondance.

Morrison did not release the song as a single until November 1977, seven and a half years after the album was released. It reached the Billboard Hot 100, charting at #92.It is the most frequently played song by Van Morrison in concert.[

How Long Must This Been Going On

"How Long Has This Been Going On?" is a song composed by George Gershwin, with lyrics by Ira Gershwin for the musical Funny Face in 1928.

It is the titletrack from the twenty-fourth studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, "with Georgie Fame and Friends", released in December 1995 (see 1995 in music) in the UK. It charted at #1 on Top Jazz Albums.

In the case of tonight's episode, the results include a startlingly unusual, thoroughly jazz-based reading of Morrison's "Moon Dance" as well as a sometimes-rough but always fascinating Morrison interpretation of the standard "How Long Has This Been Going On."
The segment was taped in Los Angeles in April during a quick session that allowed no time for complex planning. "And that's the way I like it," Hancock observed. "That's how you catch the first burst of the real creative juices.(Hancock)

The Blues Giants- de Warande Turnhout (Bel) 4 Febr.2017

En ,last but not least ,de geweldige Sugaray Rayford ,zang
Hieronder een paar impressies van het optreden, met een wat matige sound.(cameraatje kon het vrij harde zaalgeluid niet helemaal aan)

The Blues Giants(feat.

Randy Newman (feat.Ry Cooder) - Lets Burn Down The Cornfield

12 Songs is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Randy Newman, released in April 1970 by Reprise Records. It features a swampy style of roots music with introspective, satirical songwriting. "Have You Seen My Baby?", the album's only single, was released in May.
When 12 Songs was first released, it was well received and has since garnered retrospective acclaim from critics such as Robert Christgau and Rolling Stone, both of whom cite it as one of the best albums of all time.

                 Lets Burn Down The Cornfield

This album has none of the insecurity of Newman's first release "Randy Newman." On that album, Newman relied heavily on walls of orchestra for backing. On this album, Newman abandons the orchestra almost with a vengence. This album is made up mostly of songs with a small band. There is heavy slide guitar on some tracks thanks to Ry Cooder, and some of Newman's best songs are here.

Ry Cooder - gitaar,Ron Elliott - gitaar,Jim Gordon - drums,Roy Harte - percussie,Milt Holland - percussie,Al McKibbon - basgitaar,Randy Newman - piano, zang,Gene Parsons - drums,Lyle Ritz- basgitaar,Clarence White - gitaar

Steve Marriot & Alexis Corner - Music Laden (1975)

One Scotch,One Wiskey,One Beer

It is one of several drinking songs recorded by Milburn in the early 1950s that placed in the top ten of the Billboard R&B chart.Other artists have popularized the song, including John Lee Hooker in 1966 and George Thorogood in 1977.

Slow Down

"Slow Down" is a 24-bar blues written and performed by Larry Williams. Released as a single in 1958, it was a rhythm and blues hit that influenced the growing Rock & Roll movement of the time. It was released as a 7" single (45RPM). The A-Side was "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" and the B-Side was "Slow Down", which were both covered by The Beatles in 1964 and 1965, respectively.

Get Off Of My Cloud

"Get Off of My Cloud" is a song by the English rock band The Rolling Stones. It was written as a follow-up single to the successful "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". The song topped the charts in the United States and the United Kingdom in the weeks following its release in November 1965.

Alexis Korner (19 April 1928 – 1 January 1984) was a blues musician and radio broadcaster, who has sometimes been referred to as "a founding father of British Blues".A major influence on the sound of the British music scene in the 1960s,[2] Korner was instrumental in bringing together various English blues musicians.

Stephen Peter "Steve" Marriott (30 January 1947 – 20 April 1991) was an English musician, songwriter and frontman of two notable rock and roll bands, spanning over two decades. Marriott is remembered for his powerful singing voice which belied his small stature, and for his aggressive approach as a guitarist in mod rock bands Small Faces (1965–1969) and Humble Pie (1969–1975 and 1980–1981). Marriott was inducted posthumously into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012 as a member of Small Faces.
