Sweet Forgiveness (DeMent)

This performance is for a different audience than is usual with her. This time no noisy blues/festival audience, but a room full of distinguished ladies and gentlemen. It does have a big advantage, people are listening!!!

Talking About (Tedeschi/Bramhall)

Susan Tedeschi was opener for John Mellencamp, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, The Allman Brothers Band, Taj Mahal and Bob Dylan. In 2000, the album Just Won't Burn reached the Gold record for sales of 500,000 units in the United States, a lot for a blues album. She opened for The Rolling Stones in 2003, played in all major stadiums, but it didn't earn her much financially. She herself said the following about it: "They pay, but it's not great. I don't make any money 'cause I've got to pay all my sidemen. I'll be lucky if I break even.

Precense of the Lord (Winwood/Clapton)

Susan Tedeschi's voice has been compared to that of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, and she herself says that she was very much influenced by both singers. her guitar work is inspired by Buddy Guy, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King and Doyle Bramhall II.

  1. Erg goed! Inderdaad, haar stem heeft wat weg van Bonnie Raitt en Janis Joplin.
